Libre Grow

Hubs

Hubs are your community groups on Libre Grow. Whether you are coordinating with housemates in a backyard garden or collaborating with dozens of growers across a community allotment, Hubs keep everyone organised in one place.

Creating a Hub

Every new account receives a personal Hub automatically at signup. This default Hub is yours alone until you invite others. To create an additional Hub, navigate to Growing → Hubs and click New Hub. Give it a name (for example, Elm Street Community Garden), add an optional description, and save.

Inviting Members

Open your Hub and click Invite. Libre Grow generates a unique invite link you can send via email, messaging app, or even print as a QR code for a noticeboard at the garden gate. Anyone who follows the link can join your Hub immediately.

Roles and Permissions

Each Hub member holds one of three roles:

RoleCapabilities
Leader Full control: manage members, edit Hub settings, delete the Hub, and perform all Manager and Member actions.
Manager Moderate content, approve join requests, and manage day-to-day operations. Cannot delete the Hub or change Leaders.
Member Create Activities, log Elements, view shared data, and participate in discussions.

The person who creates a Hub is automatically assigned the Leader role. Leaders can promote any Member to Manager or Leader at any time.

Multiple Hubs

You can belong to as many Hubs as you like. For example, you might have a Household Hub for your family's raised beds and a separate Community Garden Hub shared with neighbours. Switch between them using the Hub selector in the sidebar.

Hub Sections

  • Overview — a summary of recent Activities, upcoming tasks, and Hub announcements.
  • Member Directory — browse everyone in the Hub, see their roles, and visit their profiles.
  • Site Map — an interactive map of your growing site with element placement, sun path analysis, and design layers.

Hubs are the backbone of collaboration on Libre Grow. Start with your personal Hub, then grow your network by creating or joining others as your gardening community expands.
