Zone Planning

Assign elements to permaculture zones (0-5) based on how frequently you need to visit or interact with them.

Zones:

• Zone 0: The home / hub
• Zone 1: Intensive, visited daily (herbs, salad garden, compost)
• Zone 2: Semi-intensive (main vegetable garden, orchard, chickens)
• Zone 3: Farm-scale / broadscale (main crops, large animals, dams)
• Zone 4: Semi-wild (managed woodland, foraging, wild harvest)
• Zone 5: Wild / wilderness (observation only, biodiversity)

Steps:

1. List all planned elements
2. Rate each by visit frequency needed
3. Assign each to a zone
4. Draw zone boundaries on site map
5. Check placement makes sense with sector analysis
6. Adjust for practical constraints (access, slope, existing features)
