Libre Grow

Design Portfolio Peer Review

Review another grower's design portfolio using the same PDC-aligned rubric. This is the peer assessment step in the 360-degree portfolio review process. You'll evaluate their recorded activities, provenance chains, and design decisions — then provide constructive feedback on each competency area.

Safety & Hazards

No physical hazards. Be constructive and specific in your feedback — remember, this review is about supporting growth, not gatekeeping.

Preparation Notes

Before starting:

  • Open the other grower's shared Project link
  • Review their activities, observations, and provenance chains
  • Look at their self-assessment scores for comparison
  • Prepare to spend 30-60 minutes on a thorough review

Guidelines for fair peer review:

  • Score based on evidence in their records, not assumptions
  • Provide specific examples to support your scores
  • Highlight strengths as well as areas for growth
  • Consider their local context — techniques that work in your climate may not apply in theirs
Procedure Steps (Version 1.0)

Open the grower's shared Project and browse their activities, elements, and provenance chains.

Review their site assessment and sector analysis activities. Do they show careful observation of their specific site?

Review their soil testing and amendment activities. Do they show understanding of soil biology and appropriate responses?

Review their design and planning activities. Do zone plans and guild designs reflect their local conditions?

Review their implementation activities. Do they show competent execution with recorded observations?

Review their provenance chains. Are elements properly linked? Can you trace a seed through planting to harvest?

For each rubric criterion, assign a score from 1 (Novice) to 5 (Can teach others) based on the evidence in their records.

Write specific, constructive comments for each area — what they did well, what could improve, and suggestions.

Compare your scores with their self-assessment. Where you differ significantly, explain your reasoning.

Submit your review. The grower will see your scores alongside their self-assessment.
