Vulnerability Assessment
Audit your household's dependencies on external systems — water, food supply chains, energy, and transport. This assessment maps where you are most vulnerable to disruption and identifies the highest-priority actions for building resilience. Permaculture was designed for exactly this: Holmgren's energy descent framework starts with honest observation of where you stand.

Procedure Details
This is a reflective assessment, not an emergency response. If you identify immediate safety risks (e.g., no clean water backup), address those first before continuing the course.
You will need:
- 30-60 minutes of honest reflection
- Your most recent utility bills and grocery receipts
- A map of your neighbourhood showing water sources, shops, and services
- Your Libre Grow app or journal
Procedure Steps (Version 1.0)
Inventory all household water sources — mains, rainwater tanks, bore, creek, stored water, neighbours.
Audit food supply chain dependencies — what percentage comes from supermarket vs garden vs local vs imported?
Assess energy sources and backups — grid electricity, gas, solar, wood, generator, battery, or none.
Map transport and access vulnerabilities — how do you get food, water, and medicine if fuel is unavailable or roads are blocked?
Identify skills and knowledge gaps — can you purify water, grow calories, preserve food, cook without gas or electricity, build soil?
Rate your overall household resilience honestly on a 1-5 scale.
Identify the three weakest points in your system — these are your priority actions.
Create a priority action list — what can you do this week, this month, this season?
